Theme - Rich VS. POOR
One theme in Taken is the never-ending battle between rich and poor and how each sides treat eachother differently. Charity and her family live in a gated community and have the luxury of butlers and maids called the RDS services in The Highlands. These people, like Albert, would often get sick of snotty, rich kids like Charity. Edward Bloor perfectly describes the relationship between Rich vs Poor and how the rich with all the wealth in the world kind of stomp on the poor and take advantage of them at any time.
The picture to the right goes hand and hand and resembles the theme of Edward Bloor's statement of the Rich stomping on or using the poor. I chose this picture because it intrigued me with a cartoon and had some humor and irony with it.

Theme - Family is most important
The other theme that is represented in Taken is the goal of family being most important. As i mentioned previous Charity was pampered with the glamorous and luxurious amenities of being wealthy. With that also came multiple times when her father and mother would be gone on business trips or enjoying themselves, leaving Charity alone with the Help. It evened happened on the Christmas before she was kidnapped. The reason her father kidnapped her was because he wanted to grow more close to her and develop the relationship he never had with his daughter.
The picture to the right represents the theme very well. Family Guy is a T.V. show that
I love to watch. Each episode have a central theme of family coming first. Every episode
starts out with the family always drifting away from eachother, but just like Taken it ends
with the family coming closer together and loving eachother that much more.
